BRIAN FEINSTEIN

Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP)

Brian Feinstein is a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), where he focuses on consumer Internet and enterprise software investments. He also leads BVP's efforts in Brazil and Russia.

Brian has been involved in BVP’s investments in Clio, Playdom, Zoosk, Mindbody, United Capital, Knewton, and an unannounced investment in Brazil. He was a founder and partner at Opera New Media, an online advertising agency, and worked in the private equity group at Blackstone.

Brian holds a B.A. in government from Harvard University.

 

DAVID FISCHER

Partner at Gold Hill Capital

David Fischer is a Partner at venture firm Gold Hill Capital, where he is responsible for raising capital and managing portfolio company investments for Gold Hill’s debt financing platform. Gold Hill Capital provides debt and equity capital to companies within the technology and life science industries, with approximately $1bn under management across two funds.

Additionally, David serves on the Board of Trustees for the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology and has been appointed to the Board of Directors of teaching hospital Spaulding Rehabilitation Center.

Prior to joining Gold Hill David spent eleven years with Silicon Valley Bank, latterly as EVP and Division Manager where he managed a business development team across the US. David began his venture lending career at the Bank of New England Technology Group, where he was responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of rapid growth technology companies.

David holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College.

 

WAYNE GOLDSTEIN

Co-Founder and Principal of The Endicott Group

Wayne Goldstein is a Co-Founder and Principal of The Endicott Group, an investment and financial advisory firm specializing in financial institutions which was established in 1996. As such, Wayne is responsible for the development of Endicott’s funds and the implementation of the investment strategy. In addition he provides financial, strategic and transaction advisory services to middle-market financial institutions, primarily banks. Wayne currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bank Leumi USA, and as a Board Observer to Park Cities Financial Group, Inc. (TX) and U.S. Century Bank (FL).

Prior to founding Endicott, from 1988 to January 1996, Wayne was a Managing Director at Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P., an investment banking firm specializing in financial institutions. He held prior positions in equity research at L.F. Rothschild Holdings, Inc. and corporate lending at Irving Trust Company. He received a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University (1985) and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Brandeis University (1983).

 

FELDA HARDYMON

Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP)

Felda Hardymon is a partner in Bessemer Venture Partners’ Cambridge, Mass. Office. He joined BVP in 1981. At BVP, Felda focuses on investments in the software, communications and storage sectors. He serves on the boards of Vertica (acquired by HP), Streambase (acquired by TIBCO), Goal.com (acquired by Perform) and Endeca.

Past investments he was involved with at BVP include superconducting materials company American Superconductor (NASDAQ: AMSC); telecommunications providers Cascade Communications (acquired by Ascend) and Sirocco (acquired by Cascade); Celcore, a maker of switches for wireless-telephone networks (acquired by DSC); African telecommunications provider Celtel (acquired by MTC, now called Zain); Parametric Technology, a provider of product cycle-management software; sporting-goods chain Sports Authority; office-supply company Staples; and Axis Networks (acquired by ACE) a 4G, wireless-remote radio head supplier.

Since 1998, Felda also has taught and done research at Harvard Business School where he holds the appointment of MBA Class of 1975 Professor of Management Practice. He is currently on leave from Harvard and is a visiting professor of finance at The London School of Economics. Prior to joining Bessemer, Felda worked at BDSI, the original venture subsidiary of General Electric, where he was an investor in Ungermann-Bass, Stratus Computer and Western Digital. Prior to that, he taught mathematics and served as director of systems and research at Duke University.

Felda has a B.S. from Rose Polytechnic, an M.A. and Ph.D from Duke and an MBA from Harvard.

 

KEN WILCOX

Chairman Emeritus of Silicon Valley Bank

Ken Wilcox served as Chairman of Silicon Valley Bank and was the first President of SPD Silicon Valley Bank.

Ken was previously the CEO of SVB Financial Group. In that role, he successfully pursued a strategy of expansion and diversification, while remaining focused on the group’s core niches of technology, life sciences, venture capital and premium wineries.

Ken is a member of the Asia Society, the Equilibrium Capital Group, and the Young Adult and Family Center at the University of California, San Francisco. He is also an executive committee and board member of the Bay Area Council and an adjunct professor at Fudan University in Shanghai. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 2006 to 2012.

In 2008, Ken was named “Banker of the Year” by American Banker. He earned the distinction of “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young in 2009 and in 2010. The Yangpu District of Shanghai has also honored him with an “Innovation Contributor Award”. In 2013, the Shanghai Municipal Government presented Ken with the “Magnolia Silver Award”, a municipal honor given to expatriates for their outstanding contribution to the city's economic, social or cultural development.

Ken earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
